I have been typing 17 "Tempest" for a while now.
I've never tried it before and it's my "first" beat at all. I had avoided it because it was so well-known (Moonlight, Tempest, etc.) and I felt a bit intimidated. However, after I had played up to the 32nd tune, I started to think that I wanted to give it a try. First of all, I had a hard time playing "Moonlight," and now, I would like to play the Tempest. It is a masterpiece of the middle period, and I think it has a solid framework that is typical of Beethoven. It is very different from the three pieces from the latter period, and I feel that Beethoven's intention to create a proper musical structure is rather strong in this piece.
