Now, the topic of this Small Talk is about the third movement of Beethoven's String Quartet.
Last time I inputted Beethoven's String Quartet, 5th movement "Cavatina", and I am currently performing the 3rd movement of No. 15 in between inputting the "Tempest". Beethoven titled this third movement "Heiliger Dankgesang eines Genesenen an die Gottheit, in der lydischen Tonart" (Song of Thanksgiving to the Deity from a convalescent in the Lydian mode) The score was written as a thank-you to God for the recovery from a serious illness. The entire piece is a beautiful and impressive , slow (Mort Adagio) piece in the key of F major, with a rather fast Andante in D major flowing over and over again. This part is marked "Neue Kraft fühlend" (I have new strength), which is symbolic of the joy of recovery from illness. String quartets are very difficult to harmonise with each solo string in DTM, but I'm going to take my time and work on it.
