Small Talk-27 Beethoven's String Quartet No. 15, 3rd Mov.

Now, this time, the string quartet is the third movement of No. 17.

I saw Beethoven's String Quartet, 5th movement "Cavatina" typed last time, and I'm working on it a bit in between typing the Tempest. "Heiliger Dankgesang eines Genesenen an die Gottheit, in der lydischen Tonart" ("Lydian melody, a song of holy thanksgiving to God by one healed from illness"). It is said to have been written as a song of thanksgiving to God for the recovery from a serious illness. The entire piece is a beautiful, slow (Mort Adagio) piece in the key of F major, with a rather fast Andante in D major flowing through it repeatedly. This part is marked "Neue Kraft fühlend" (I have new strength), which is symbolic of the joy of recovery from illness. Unlike the piano, the solo strings are played together, so it will take some time, but I'm going to take my time and work on it.
