Beethoven Cello Sonata No.3

This song also took a lot of time to type. It took less than 30 minutes to create the sound of the cello and piano when they were combined, so I guess that's about right for a piece that takes less than 30 minutes.

The most difficult movement was the scherzo in the second movement. It is in three beats, but there are a lot of notes that tie the third beat to the first beat of the next. Please refer to the score of the beginning below.

Generally speaking, three beats are strong and weak, but it is not so easy to change the sound, especially on the piano, once it is struck. But Beethoven changed the finger number of the third beat and the next beat on the piano. In other words, he instructs us to swap the fingers from 4 to 3 in the same note. According to the teacher, this is saying, "The first beat is meaningful. The fourth finger is less forceful than the third finger, so the third beat is gently entered, and if you keep your finger on the keyboard and switch to the third finger, the first beat will mysteriously feel like a strong beat. I see! However, it is quite difficult to express this in DTM. This time, I increased the volume of the first beat one by one. In other words, I raised the volume in the middle of the decay.

Another thing is that this second movement is in "ABABA" form, but there are three repetitions without using repetition marks. The question was how to play these three repetitions. I repeated them at the same tempo and volume, but according to the teacher, there was something uninteresting about it... so I listened to various performances. I listened to various performances of Antonio Meneses and Maria João Piresch, who were my role models, and I somewhat lowered the volume of the third time. And the teacher's information (source: "Glenn Gould's Art of Playing") told me that Leonard Rose and Glenn Gould play the third time down to pp. So, I dropped the volume of the third time here. Well, what do you think?
